Police ID Oakland man killed on Mother's Day

Daesjhon Grayson, 30, was fatally shot in Oakland shortly before midnight on May 11. He was discovered on 16th Street, reportedly living at a nearby shelter. Witness accounts suggest he was shot while reaching into his backpack, which contained a handgun with an extended magazine. Grayson was found shot to death on the 600 block of 16th Street in Oakland, reportedly living in a nearby shelter at the time.
