The fire broke out at the Harlan House, which is one of the oldest houses in San Ramon, according to a social media post from the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.

Firefighters struggled to get on board the 41m superyacht Sea Lady II as thick black smoke billowed around the port of St Tropez. Anti-pollution barriers were deployed to mitigate environmental impact. Surrounding yachts were moved away as a precaution. The yacht was built in 1986 and had a recent refit in 2024, capable of accommodating 10 passengers with eight crew members. Concerns grew that the yacht, currently filling with water, could sink in the busy port where luxury vessels gather for the summer.

The fire broke out at Mor Linn Farm around 11:15 p.m. and escalated to two alarms, engulfing a large barn at the North Street property.

Evan Lonsdale, a 24-year-old Brentwood resident, crashed into a tree around 2:15 a.m. on June 29, resulting in his vehicle being engulfed in flames.

The two defendants threatened to torch the pensioner before smashing a window and throwing a firework into his home, leading to a fatal fire.
