A person has been taken to hospital after an incident at a train station in Essex, causing major delays near Upminster.

GO Transit has reported a tragic incident where a person was struck by a train west of Guelph Central GO station affecting multiple scheduled services.

Two men were stabbed during Wednesday morning rush on board a train passing through Grand Central, with victims 28 and 38 suffering serious injuries but stable.

An armed individual raised security alarms at Connolly Station, prompting an investigation by Gardai, who suspect the man may have come to Dublin for the purpose of selling the weapon.

Witnesses have been asked to come forward after the incident on platform three at Ealing Broadway station on November 24, at 12.07am, where a passenger's hand was trapped in the train doors. The train departed while the passenger's hand was still trapped, leading to a harrowing ordeal where the passenger was forced to run alongside the train for several metres before being rescued by a railway staff member.
