Police have arrested a man from Brooklyn in connection to a fatal shooting in The Bronx early this month. Desean Edwards, 22, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. Police say that 21-year-old Jontay Davis was discovered in the rear of SBH Health System at 2 a.m. Sept. 2. He was shot in the head and pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The shooting was reported around 12:15 a.m. on Sept. 13 in the 100 block of Ciolino Avenue, near Del Monte Avenue, according to the Morgan Hill Police Department. Officers found several bullet casings at the scene and learned the 17-year-old victim had been taken to an area hospital with gunshot wounds, police said. The victim has since been treated and released.
The police report obtained by BocaNewsNow.com alleges that Robert Schulman, 62, of Maybury Avenue on Staten Island apparently believed that another man was speaking to his wife in a hallway in the hotel. Video surveillance allegedly shows Schulman striking and punching the other man. That man falls to the ground "and becomes defenseless. Schulman then approaches (the victim) who is lying on the ground and proceeds to kick him in the face multiple times," according to police.
The robber snatched the unsuspecting woman's phone while shoving her to the ground inside the JC Tires Shop near Rockaway Parkway and Avenue N around 8:40 am in Canarsie, according to the NYPD. The stranger then repeatedly kicked her and whipped out a firearm, aiming it at the woman while verbally threatening her. Her attacker - last seen wearing a green jacket, camouflage-colored pants, black hat and black facemask hanging off his chin - then took off, traveling southbound on Rockaway Parkway.
Two people were shot, one fatally, when a pair of masked men opened fire at a housing project in Brooklyn, police said Friday. A 28-year-old man was shot in the head and a 23-year-old woman was grazed in the neck when bullets started flying at NYCHA's Armstrong II Houses on Lexington Ave. near Tompkins Ave. in Bedford Stuyvesant at about 11:50 p.m. Thursday.
Around 7 a.m. Sunday, 911 dispatchers received a call from someone concerned about a family member at an apartment complex on the 4800 block of El Camino Ave. When Sacramento County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived at the unit, they found bullet holes in the front of the residence. Inside, they discovered three deceased individuals, all dead from gunshot wounds. Details are scant.

A New Jersey cop allegedly recorded surveillance footage of a female arrestee performing a sex act in a jail cell on his phone and then shared the X-rated clip over Snapchat, prosecutors said Monday. Ventnor City police officer Ryan Bonanni, 24, was charged Monday with official misconduct, computer theft and three counts of invasion of privacy, following the incident with the woman who was arrested by the local department on July 6, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
