Stuart Andrew Westwood, 38, of no fixed abode, entered the supermarket on Millbrook Road West and began filling a carrier bag with products on 21 January. Officers with Lafayette police made the arrest about 1:20 p.m. after police had been alerted to the robbery in Alamo, according to a statement from Contra Costa Sheriff's Office spokesperson Jimmy Lee. The sheriff's office has jurisdiction over Alamo and contracts out with Lafayette police. The two men - a 23-year-old Antioch man and 20-year-old man without a residence listed - remained in custody on Thursday in lieu of $200,000 and $150,000 bail, respectively, according to jail records. Lee said officers arrested each man on suspicion of two counts of robbery, attempted robbery and conspiracy.
A jailed drill rapper who escaped from custody twice within a week has apparently posted a video online taunting the police. Daniel Boakye, 21, fled from Lewisham Hospital in south-east London on Sunday afternoon after being taken there for medical treatment. Five days earlier, on 10 February, he had also escaped from prison guards at West Middlesex University Hospital before being recaptured by Met Police officers the following day.
The suspect - who wore a black mask and bright-red puffer coat - approached the 25-year-old victim on board a northbound N train approaching 86th Street in Gravesend around 2:20 a.m. Saturday and demanded his wallet and some money, police said.
