BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Police are searching for a suspect who shot a 27-year-old man during a street encounter late Wednesday night in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn, according to an NYPD Crime Stoppers alert. Authorities said the attack occurred around 9:54 p.m. at the intersection of Sackett Street and 3rd Avenue. The victim was reportedly approached by an unidentified man who began talking with him before pulling out a gun and firing, striking the victim in the right leg.
Manhattan detectives are on the hunt for the knife-wielding suspect who slashed two men on the Lower East Side early on Sunday morning. Police sources said the attack took place at approximately 4:10 a.m. on Jan. 11 at the intersection of Essex and Delancey Streets. According to law enforcement sources, a male suspect with a knife attacked two men. The motive for the assault is unknown and under investigation.
Law enforcement sources said the gunfire erupted outside the Martin Luther King Jr. Houses at 21 West 112th St. just before 2:10 p.m. on Nov. 30. Officers from the 28th Precinct and NYPD PSA 5 responded to the location after receiving reports of a person shot there. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities said, the cops came upon the victim, a 48-year-old woman who sustained a gunshot wound to her thigh.
Police have identified the woman whose body was found in a plastic bag on a Harlem street earlier this week. The remains of Bonnie Schulman-Rice, 35, were discovered lying among a garbage heap near the corner of East 125th Street and Park Avenue at about 6:33 p.m. on Oct. 27. Officers from the 25th Precinct made the discovery after receiving a 911 call about an unconscious woman on the sidewalk.

Police said he snagged two purses from the victim. Among the personal items inside the purses were a cellphone, wallet, documents, credit cards, jewelry, and $120 in cash.

Police said the shooting happened just after 9 p.m. on Oct. 8 in front of 360 West 127th St., off St. Nicholas Terrace, in Manhattanville. Officers from the 26th Precinct responded to the scene and found the victim, a 26-year-old man, with a single gunshot wound to his back.
Police in the Bronx are looking for a group of masked suspects behind a shooting on Sunday night that left two people wounded. According to police sources, the gunfire erupted at around 8:23 p.m. on Sept. 14 outside of 356 East 152 St. in the South Bronx. Law enforcement sources said the two victims, a 43-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man, were standing outside the apartment building when three suspects approached.
